"Heart of the Delta" was a private commission with specific goals. James' clients wanted his signature style of stainless and bronze, but somehow wanted it to relate to one of their passions; the Mississippi Delta Blues. After over 2 months of work and sketching, James hit upon a concept that was simple, yet beautiful. Literally, this sculpture IS a representation of the Mississippi Delta, but as seen from space.
James himself has always loved the Blues and felt privileged to create this piece. He actually visualizes this work being created on a monumental scale (30 to 40 feet) and donated to Louisana and New Orleans. He is seeking contributors to this goal.
